Will Socks Dry Overnight?

Happy travels, all 🙂 All my socks dry in less than a day, normal room temperature or on balconies in hotels or on cruise ships, can dry overnight in air conditioning, but I don’t like to keep air conditioning on when sleeping. Drying less than a day is fine, don’t need any special socks.

You simply put your socks on a radiator or boiler and turn them after 30 minutes to allow the entire sock to get the hot air. Your socks should be dry in an hour, and you can put them on and carry on with your day.

How do you air dry socks quickly?

You just need a large towel. Lay the towel on the ground, place your socks on top, and roll up the socks tightly in the towel. Then, stand on top of the rolled up towel (carefully) for about a minute. Rotate the rolled towel and repeat standing on it ( you want to hit all angles!).

What do you do if your socks get wet?

Simply slide one sock over your hand as if you were going to wear it like a glove. Spread your fingers and start waving the blow dryer at your sock-covered hand. Do not hold the blow dryer too close to the wet sock and do not blast away at the highest/hottest setting.

Should socks be air dried?

Leave them to air dry
Though tumble drying may be more convenient, the heat from the dryer will shorten the life of the elastic, and can cause shrinkage in even the highest quality pair of socks.

Lay a thin towel over your wet socks on the ironing board and simply press it using high heat. Turn the socks over and press again to get both sides. If you have no iron, look for other sources of heat such as a radiator to hang your socks near or a blowdryer to blast them with heat.
