How should the OCP fit?
The sleeve length will be 1 inch below the bottom of the wrist bone. Trousers will be fitted and worn with the lower edge of the waistband at the top of the hipbone, plus or minus ½ inch. The front crease of the trousers will reach the top of the instep, touching the top of the shoe at the shoelaces.
How do I know my uniform size?
How to measure for uniform sizes
- Neck Size: Hold tape snugly around neck and measure.
- Sleeve Length: Measure from the bottom center back of neck (top of spine), down the arm across the elbow to the wrist bone.
- Chest Size: Men measure around the fullest part of the chest, under arms.

What size is large regular?
Because of the two different measurements, US sizes have two parts. For an example, Medium Regular is Medium in width and Regular in height.
Don’t order one size bigger just to be sure – you’ll end up with really big trousers!

Does the Air Force wear Scorpion OCP?
In 2015 the U.S. Army announced the move from the Universal ACU pattern to the Scorpion OCP pattern, with the Air Force later announcing the same transition to Scorpion OCP.
How tight should OCP pants be?
The waist should be tight enough that you can’t pull the pants all the way off without unbuttoning/unzipping the fly. If it’s digging in or bunching up, it’s too tight. Aim for a fit in between those two.

Do you have to blouse OCP pants?
In the military, blousing your boots is required for the OCP Uniform if your trousers are not tucked into your boots. This is outlined in AR 670-1, which also states that trousers should not be bloused below the third eyelet of the boot, and the blouse must not extend past your ankles.
How do you fit a uniform?
Forget about tight fit around the hips or thighs. Aim for a few inches of allowance at the hips – and more on the thighs. Trousers should be able to stay up without a belt. Wearers should be able to get one, maybe two, fingers in between the waist and the waistband.
How are army dress uniforms measured?
In order to get a proper uniform fit, you must often take new measurements and will sometimes need to increase your “normal” size by one. For example, it is very common for a Soldier to need trousers one size larger than the measured waist.

How do army sizes work?
The 1st set of numbers relates to the height of the wearer that the garment is intended for IE. 160, 170, 180 & 200. Please note that the 1st set of numbers (for example 180) is not the length of the garment it is your height but in centimetres. The 2nd set of numbers relates to the chest measurement again cm’s.

Is 34 waist a large?
No, a 34 inch waist is not big for the vast majority of men. A waist measurement of 34 inches is generally considered to be a medium size for males. However, unless you’re really tall, a 34 inch or a 34.5 inch waist definitely isn’t small, either.
What Color Socks Are Authorized with OCP Army? OCP Army apparel refers to the Operational Camouflage Pattern. When wearing army fatigues, the above three AR670-1 sock colors apply, so your options are black, green, or tan.
Can you wear Abu socks with OCPs?
