A longline corset, as you may have surmised, is a longer version of the standard corset. While the average corset may reach the bottom of the ribcage or skim the top of the hip bone, a longline model goes further, extending over the hips.

What is a longline corset?
Standard (Regular): Long at the front but not the sides. Standard length corsets work for people with a torso length of about 8″ or more (seated measurement). Longline (Long): Longline corsets need a seated torso length of about 11″ or more. Their length makes for a stunning look and can create ample curves.
Can I wear a longline corset?
Standard corsets fit the average seated, under bust torso length which ranges between 8 to 10 inches in length and provide a minimum to moderate waist curvature. Longline corsets are best suited for those with longer torsos of about 10.5 inches, under bust while seated.
How do I know if my corset is too long?
If your corset is too big you will find that you can close it up (or nearly) without having to really cinch. Remember when your corset is brand new, it’s very stiff and has no “give” whatsoever. If you are able to nearly close completely, it will be too big within a week or so of seasoning.
What length corset should I get?
You’ll want to select a size that’s smaller than your natural waist* measurement. Our corsets should be up to 4″ smaller than your natural waist for beginners or up to 6″ smaller for more experienced corset wearers (and those with particularly squeezable midsections).
How do I pick the right corset?
A general corset sizing guideline is as follows: If your natural waist (where you bend side to side) is under 38” select a corset 4-7 inches smaller than your natural waist. If your natural waist is over 38” select a corset 7-10 inches smaller than your natural waist.
Where should a corset sit?
Your corset should sit just below your hip bones. To ensure this, it’s worth taking your torso measurement, from the centre of your hip bones up to your underbust.

What is an S bend corset?
Created by a specific style of corset, the S-bend is characterized by a rounded, forward leaning torso with hips pushed back. This shape earned the silhouette its name; in profile, it looks similar to a tilted S.
How do you measure your torso for a corset?
You’ll want to sit upright with your feet flat on the floor, creating a 90-degree angle from your lap to your torso. Extend the measuring tape from your underbust to the crease where your thigh meets your abdomen. Measure on both sides.
How many inches does a corset take off your waist?

Will wearing a corset flatten your stomach?
