A Busk is the rigid closure in the front of a corset. They are made of two long pieces of steel that can withstand the tension of corset lacing, one with eyes and the other with posts. They are available in a variety of lengths and widths.

Since boning is so important for corsets and bones will not stick to it on its own, we need boning channels or casings. Depending on the corset construction, we can stitch two parallel lines, through two layers of strength fabric, to create boning channels.

Each loop will be about 1 1/2″ long, I had 10 loops for my dress (5 on each side) so I needed about a 15″ long strip or multiple strips that added up to that length. Do corsets hide belly fat?
Waist training simply doesn’t work
Contrary to what celebrities say, waist training will not reduce belly fat, make you lose weight, or give you similar results to liposuction. All a waist trainer can do is squeeze your torso for a temporary change in appearance.
Will wearing a corset give you an hourglass figure?
The main supposed benefit of a waist trainer is that wearing it is a fast and easy way to get an hourglass figure.
