I’ve said this before; a hand knit item should always be washed once before it’s ready to wear. While we knit, we are constantly touching it. When we are not working on it, we may have your project in a bag or lying out in the open. It is bound to get a little dirty – even if we can’t see it.

How do you wash something when knitting?

  3. Carefully rinse the garment in warm water.
  4. Press out or squeeze to remove as much water as possible.
