The co-branded credit card, designed for people who shop at Old Navy stores and other retailers affiliated with Gap Inc., was issued by Synchrony Bank until it moved to Barclays in June 2022 and was replaced with the Old Navy Navyist Rewards Mastercard® Credit Card.

The Old Navy Credit Card*, issued by Synchrony Bank, is a store credit card that earns points that can be used across the Gap family of brands (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, Hill City, Gap Factory and Banana Republic Factory).
The Old Navy Visa® Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. But the Old Navy Card is a closed-loop credit card. That means it can be used only at Old Navy and other stores owned by Gap Inc., including Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta.

Although you might qualify for the Gap store card with a credit score in the lower 600s, a higher credit score near the 700s will be required to get approved for the Gap Visa. In comparison, most other rewards credit cards require higher credit scores around the 700s as well.
