In order to pass muster in the U.S. Army, your boots will need to be 8 to 10 inches in height and have a plain toe. The sole should be made of rubber or polyurethane, and it should be the same color as the rest of the boot. No mesh fabric is permitted; the boot must be made entirely of leather.

Tan 499 shirts became mandatory to wear with OCPs starting October 1, 2019. You have two shirt color options when wearing your OCP uniform. Your options are either Sand or Tan 499.

Can you wear a black shirt in Ocps?

Is OCP better than MultiCam?
The United States military phased out MultiCam uniforms in favor of OCP. From a visual standpoint, a MultiCam uniform will feature near-vertical elements that are known as twiglets. An OCP uniform has linear horizontal patterns across the body and no twiglets at all.

Army G-1 released an ETP specifically authorizing coyote brown backpacks. This memo from the Army G-1 grants an exception to policy to AR 670-1, paragraph 3-7.
