What fabric should I use for a vest?
It is entirely possible to use knit fabric for vests or coats, although we’d recommend sticking with relatively-stable knits that don’t have too much stretch. French terry, cotton fleece, and sherpa are all lovely choices that feel soft and cosy.

Generally speaking, you should order 1-2” larger than your “upper chest” measurement, depending on your “Fit Preference”. If your stomach measures larger than your waist, you will need to order 1” larger than that measurement in order for the vest/jacket to comfortably close.

How do you measure a vest pattern?
WAIST: Measure at the largest part of your stomach, near the belly button. The tape in the back will be at the small of the back. HIPS: Take the measurement at the bottom of the belt band. FRONT LENGTH: Measure from the middle of the shoulder seam to 3 inches below the bottom of the pants band.
