What should you not tumble dry?
Wool jumpers, silk garments, and bras may often display the do not tumble dry symbol as they could become damaged in the machine, or the material could become weakened. Silk can shrink in high temperatures and wool can pile which affects the look of the fabric.
Is delicate and tumble dry the same?
As a rule, in order to dry laundry a tumble dryer has a rotating drum through which hot air is circulated. Selecting a program for delicates involves fewer revolutions of the drum as well as a lower temperature. Drying times are likely to be extended and the maximum load smaller than for non-delicates.
