Place the end of the sleeve inside the cuff piece, with all 3 of the cut edges meeting. The sleeve should be right-side out, and the cuff should be on the outside of the sleeve, like in the picture above. Line up the cuff seam with the seam on the sweatshirt sleeve.

Can you repair frayed cuffs?
If your cuffs are frayed, it’s easy to fix them by sewing or gluing them together. You can use a needle and thread to sew the cuff together, or you can use a glue gun and adhesive. Testing the adhesive before using it is important so that the cuff doesn’t come apart while you’re fixing it.
How do you replace a sleeve cuff?
First cut off the old cuff in a straight line across the sleeve. With your sleeve right side out, you’re going to slip the new cuff onto the outside of the sleeve. You’ll want the cuff to go on folded end first, so that the cut end of the sleeve matches up with the two cut edges of your new cuff.

I have bought cotton and acrylic ribbing in bright colors when I was making sweaters for my kids but I never found a wool ribbing. If you can’t find the right matching ribbing you can make your own faux ribbing, using the same knit fabric, and a twin needle.
