- From your mobile device, select an activity you’d like to share.
- Click the share icon in your feed or activity view.
- If you’ve attached photos to your activity, you will be prompted to select what you’d like to share (a map or photo).
- Next, choose where you’d like to share this activity.

How do I share my route with my friends? On both the app and desktop click on your route from the My Routes page. Then click share to send to a friend on Strava. To share on Facebook, Twitter, and email, click the corresponding icons next to the share button.
From your Dashboard and the Activity Feed
From the mobile app, look for the share icon on the right-hand side of the tray just below the activity.
The Add Others/Friends option allows you to invite a friend who was with you but didn’t record their activity on Strava. If the invitation is accepted, your activity will appear on your friend’s Strava profile and feed as if it was their own.
Can you copy someone’s activity on Strava?
Strava provides the option to download or export the route data of another Strava athlete’s activity. This data can then be downloaded onto a Garmin Edge device to use the map or courses features.
Sharing Private Routes and Rides
On a Ride, click the Share dropdown in the upper right and select Link. On a Route, click the Share button to pull up the share options. You’ll see a pop-up with a special link that you can copy and paste to share with your friends and riding partners.
How do I make a Strava route public?
Before you save your route, you have the option to mark your route as private. Private routes can only be seen by you. Private routes can be made public at any time by editing the route, clicking Save, toggling activity visibility to Public, and clicking Save to My Routes.
Please be aware that only activities recorded with GPS can be shared with a map or image with stats. This means that you won’t be able to share stationary activities, indoor activities, or manually created activities. Click the share icon in your feed or activity view.
Can’t add someone to Strava activity?
You cannot add friends to manual activities, only those tracked by the app.
- Log into Strava.
- Open the specific ride within the app.
- Select the orange Add Others button underneath the ride name.
- Add friends or search for riders you don’t follow in the popup window.
Can you tell if someone has viewed your Strava?
No, you can’t. You can only see who is following you, not who is just looking at your profile/rides.
How do I tag someone on Strava activity?
To mention an athlete in a comment or activity description, enter the ‘@’ symbol and begin typing the name of the athlete you wish to mention. You can then select the athlete’s name from the displayed list.

Flyby is a Strava Labs tool that lets you playback your activity, as well as those near you, on a map and timeline. You can access your Flyby by clicking the button on your activity details page on the web. Alternatively, you can manually enter your activity ID into the Flyby tool.
