How to send a parcel
- Take your parcel to a ParcelShop. Your local Evri (the new Hermes) ParcelShop is a convenient alternative to a Post Office.

How do I send a parcel via Hermes without a printer?
All you need to do is find a local ParcelShop with one of our great Print In ParcelShop devices, allowing you to pay for your parcel in seconds. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to book your ParcelShop drop off using the Evri website, just scan the QR code (or enter the 6 digits) we sent you via email.
Do Hermes pick up parcels from home?
Hermes will collect the item(s) you’d like to return between 8:00am and 8.00pm on the next business day (Monday – Friday), as long as collection is requested before 11:00pm. Important information: It’s not possible to request a specific time for your collection and Hermes will not call or text on the day of collection.
Do I need to print label for Hermes?
Once you get in store, they have a tiny machine where you scan the QR block and press PRINT. It spits a label out you can stick straight on the package and someone will give you a receipt to take home, with a barcode on it that they zap after zapping the barcode on your package label, so they match.
Which part of the Hermes label do I put on my parcel?
The label includes the recipient’s name and address and your barcode. Position the label in the middle of the top of the parcel if it has flat sides. For round parcels (note: if you’re sending a poster, map etc, use a triangular – rather than circular – tube), secure the label where you have enough surface area.
Do I need to print a label for Hermes locker?
Lockers are really quick & easy to use, just book your order online or using our app, stick your parcel label to your parcel and take it to your local locker. When you get to the locker just select “send a parcel”, scan or enter the barcode on the label and a locker box will open for you to put your parcel in.
Can I send a parcel without a label?
Without it, the parcel will not arrive at its destination. Not only that, without a shipping label, the courier driver will not even collect the parcel. Shipping labels are printed and attached to the package.
How can I send a parcel if I don’t have a printer?

Parcelforce are one of the courier companies who offer parcel delivery without a printer, so whether your printer is on the blink, has run out of ink, or you simply don’t have one, book one of these services and the driver will collect your parcel and bring the label.
Can I send a parcel without a box?
You must package your item properly – unpackaged items can be damaged in transit and damage other items around them. If your parcel is not in a box when your driver arrives to collect, they can refuse to take it.
Do couriers provide boxes?
Do couriers pack the items? Sorry to rain on your parade but the short answer is no, they don’t. Standard shipping services do not include the courier bringing boxes for packing, or any type of aid, for that matter. They tend to prioritize speed and normally must pick up many other packages in the same shift.
Does the post office give free boxes?
They’re always free, no matter if you get them at your local Post Office or on USPS.com. This includes Priority Mail Flat Rate and Priority Mail Express boxes and envelopes, as well. The only thing you’ll need to pay for is the cost of postage.
How do I arrange my Hermes pickup?
All you need to do is click the button at the top of the page and then fill in the form. You can book parcel collection up to 7 days in advance or as early as tomorrow. Just book before 10pm and a courier will collect your package the next day, between 8am and 8pm – you’ll receive a 2-hour time slot on the day.
Does Hermes charge by size or weight?
If you’re using the Royal Mail Size guide of what a small parcel is, Hermes offer two options – up to 1kg and between 1kg-2kg. Pricing is based on which of these weight bands the size of your parcel fits into, and your choice of service.
What size parcels do Hermes take?
You can send parcels that weigh up to 15kg and are 120cm long. We also have a maximum volume of 245cm, to calculate this yourself you just need to add together the 2 shortest dimensions and multiply this by 2. Add the length and if the number you get is less than 245 then you’re good to go.
How do I get Hermes QR code?

Can I print a label at the Post Office?

They’ll scan the QR code and print the label, which you can then fix to your parcel and drop off while you’re there. Find the nearest Customer Service Point or Post Office® branch that will Print your prepaid labels by visiting Services Near You and clicking on the Delivery/Post Offices tab.
Do I need a printer for Vinted?
Shipping on Vinted: Do I need a printer? On Vinted, you can choose to list certain shipping options in your settings. Most of these shipping options you will need a printer for, including Evri, InPost and UPS. You don’t need a printer for Royal Mail or Yodel Direct.
How do I use ParcelShop?
Book and pay for your parcel, print your label at home and drop your parcel in store when you’re ready. Book and pay online or via our app. You can then head to your nearest ParcelShop with a Print In ParcelShop device to print your label and send your parcel.
What can you wrap parcels in?
You can fold or roll publications in a paper wrapper but this is not ideal. Up to 1cm thick: padded bag, heavy-duty cardboard envelope or polythene shrink-wrap. Up to 5cm thick: corrugated paper, thick paper or polythene shrink-wrap. Seal in polythene with address details clearly visible.
