Will Gap rewards expire?
Reward points earned but not used towards the issuance of a Reward Card will expire 24 months after your last purchase if your Account has been inactive (i.e., there has been no purchase activity on your Account) for 24 months. Reward Cards will expire as of the expiration date set forth on the Card.
What are Gap core rewards?
The first tier, called Core, is free to join with zero to $500 spend per year. It offers double rewards redemption days, bonus points for quarterly cross-brand purchases, a birthday surprise, and free three- to five-day shipping on orders of more than $50. There’s also exclusive offers for Core members.
Rewards can only be used toward purchases of merchandise made in-store or online at Old Navy, Old Navy Outlet, Gap, Gap Factory store, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory store, or Athleta in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico).
Do you have to pay for Gap rewards?

Does closing a credit card hurt your credit?
A credit card can be canceled without harming your credit score; just remember that paying down credit card balances first (not just the one you’re canceling) is key. Closing a charge card won’t affect your credit history (history is a factor in your overall credit score).

How do you earn Gap rewards?
In stores, you give the sales staff your phone number registered to your membership at checkout, while online purchases are credited to your membership so long as you’re logged in with your email address associated with your account. Every 100 points you earn is a $1 reward redeemable across the Gap, Inc.
Can I use Gap rewards at Athleta?
Rewards can only be used toward purchases of merchandise made in-store or online at Old Navy, Old Navy Outlet, Gap, Gap Factory store, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory store, or Athleta in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico).
Since Old Navy is owned by Gap (GPS), the Old Navy card can be used at all Gap-owned stores—Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, and Piperlime. Gap and Banana Republic also offer their own cards by Synchrony Financial with similar terms as well. When you sign up for the card you get a 20% discount on your first purchase.
Why was my Gap account closed?
You might find your Gap credit account marked as closed even if you never took any active steps to close it. This can happen due to account inactivity—it’s common for lenders to close credit accounts if they haven’t been used for a while.
What credit score is needed for a Gap card?
Although you might qualify for the Gap store card with a credit score in the lower 600s, a higher credit score near the 700s will be required to get approved for the Gap Visa. In comparison, most other rewards credit cards require higher credit scores around the 700s as well.
Does gap card have an annual fee?
With the Gap Visa card, you’ll earn 5 points per $1 spent at Gap-branded stores, either in-person or online, and 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases. There’s no annual fee, but it does have a high APR for purchases, and it charges foreign transaction fees.

Can I use my gap card at Walmart?
The card is issued in partnership with Visa and so can be used at any other store that accepts credit cards.
Can you convert Gap cash to points?
Rewards Program Members may convert unused GapCash (a Cash Coupon) to Rewards points. Each dollar of the Cash Coupon value converts to 1 Reward Point. Rewards Program Members must convert unused Cash Coupon(s) to points within 30 days of the last day to redeem your Cash Coupon.
