Navy hair regulations require that strands be no longer than four inches and do not touch the ears, collar, extend below eyebrows when headgear is removed, show under the front edge of headgear, or interfere with the proper use of headgear. The bulk of the hair cannot exceed approximately two inches.
Nail polish may be worn, but colors shall be conservative and inconspicuous. French and American manicures (white and off- white tips with neutral base color only) are authorized.

Navy Tattoo Policy and Regulations
New regulations allow for unlimited tattoos on the legs, arms, neck, and even on the hands and behind the ears. The only places on the body that are off limits are the head, face, and scalp. Tattoos on the torso are also allowed, but they must not be visible underneath whites.
