You can return a worn item if it is faulty… this is part of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act (valid for items bought after October 2015). If your item is damaged but you don’t have a receipt… you still have the rights under the Consumer Rights Act to either a repair, refund or replacement.

Can I return a worn shoes?
Many chain shoe stores and online vendors have return policies that specify the shoes must be unworn and in the original packaging. That means that you should only wear them indoors on clean surfaces for a few days before deciding to return them. If they appear to be worn, you may not get a refund or exchange.
Can you return clothes if the tag is off?
