Does UPS know when my package is closed?

Do UPS scan packages?

Is USPS allowed to open packages?

How do you know if a package is seized?

Can I keep a package that was delivered to me by mistake?
As long as the merchandise is addressed to you, you may keep it. If it is addressed to someone else, then you are obligated to make reasonable efforts to either return it or deliver it to the intended recipient.
How many attempts does UPS make?
UPS may make up to three delivery attempts at its discretion at your address on regular UPS delivery days. After the final attempt, undeliverable packages will be returned to the sender. To prevent your package from being returned or to make alternate delivery arrangements, track your package.
What happens if you miss signing for a package UPS?
UPS will make three attempts to deliver your package on three separate business days. In most cases, you must be present and provide a signature to receive your package. If you can’t sign for your package on any of those days, they’ll typically hold your package at a nearby UPS facility for 3-5 business days.
