Can you return things to Uniqlo without a tag?
Please retain your receipt. UNIQLO is always happy to exchange or refund all item(s) using the original method of payment as long as the item(s) are returned in a resellable condition (with original packaging, tags and/or labels) within 30 days from the date of purchase.
Can you return an item after removing the tag?
Yes, you can return clothes without tags to certain clothing retailers. However, there are some stipulations and restrictions here that need to be understood. For the most part, it is a good idea to keep tags on until you are sure that you want to keep a piece of clothing.
How do you reattach a tag?
You have 2 options for attaching the hang tag to the garment:
- Tie the ends of the string together and safety pin the hang tag to one of the durable seams or the care tag.
- Thread the string through an opening on the garment, like a button hole. Tie the ends of the string in a knot to secure the hang tag in place.

this is part of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act (valid for items bought after October 2015). If your item is damaged but you don’t have a receipt… you still have the rights under the Consumer Rights Act to either a repair, refund or replacement.
Can you return something without a tag new look?
Items must be unworn and in their original condition. Items must be returned with a valid dispatch note (online purchases) or a valid receipt/proof of purchase (in-store purchases). All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and in the original tender currency (unless otherwise stated).
Product must be unworn and unwashed, with hang tags attached, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Keep in mind, gift cards, face masks, and gear from our We Made Too Much section are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Detouring from any method advised will compromise the item and could possibly damage the item. For your benefit if you’re washing at home, we recommend following the care label exactly if you want to extend the life of your clothing. Here’s common care label icons you may see on your garments.
Can you remove a security tag?
To remove them at home, use a high-powered magnet, such as a hard drive magnet. Place the magnet on a flat surface and lay the tag on top of it with the ink dome or cartridge facing down. You should hear a click letting you know the tag has deactivated. Wiggle the pins in the tag up and down to release them.
We kindly ask that you return to the store to have the security tag removed. We do not suggest attempting to remove the tag by yourself as this can potentially damage the item. Please be sure to bring your original purchase receipt.
Can I return something without the tag attached H&M?
If paid for in-store, your statutory rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015) say you have no automatic right to return it. But the store can be more generous than your statutory rights and offer some sort of return option (exchange, gift card, or a refund) even without the tag.
