Some fabrics – especially cotton, will shrink in a hot dryer. If you do not follow the instructions on the label sewn inside the item, you cannot return the item. For any clothes you don’t want to take a chance on shrinking, I would shake them out when taking out of the washer and hang them to dry on a hanger.
