Does TopHat use your location?
We use the geolocation of students that submit the attendance code to confirm the location and affirm their presence in the class. Students that are using bluetooth-enabled iOS or Android apps are checked by both geolocation and proximity.

Using Top Hat, instructors can pose polling questions and ask all their students to respond using their phones or laptops. Top Hat quickly collects and visualizes student responses, giving instructors a snapshot of student learning they can use to inform class discussion.

Open up your Top Hat app and open up the attendance. Enter in the attendance code and click “Continue.” The first time your professor runs secure attendance, you will be asked to verify your attendance, click “Verify.” You will then be asked to allow Top Hat to access your location.

Yes. Pre-existing Top Hat Tests can be administered as remotely monitored by adjusting the test’s Settings.
How do I fake my location on iPhone?
With your iPhone or iPad plugged in, select Toolbox at the top of the program, and then VirtualLocation from that screen.
