Can UV pass through fabric?
If you can see through, UV radiation can easily penetrate the fabric and reach your skin.
Does a cotton shirt block UV rays?
A regular white cotton T-shirt has a UPF between 5 and 8. It allows almost one-fifth of UV radiation to pass through to your skin.
