Can you iron swimsuit material?
No. Bathing suits are almost always made of synthetic materials like polyester, nylon, polypropylene, Lycra, or spandex. These materials have low melting point and will burn if you put an iron to them.
Can you add bra cups to a swimsuit?
You need a pair of bra cups (virtually all bra cups can be used for swimwear as they are all chlorine-resistant). You also need to have the lining of the suit cut out and sewn up temporarily. Wear a bra and pin the cups directly to the bra strap making sure they are both oriented the same way.

What to do if your swimsuit top does not have an opening for bra pads? If your garment does not have an opening in each bra corner, cut a small slit in the lining. Gently squeeze the sides of bra pad together and insert a pad into each opening. Or you can simply sew or pin our foam bra pads into place.
How do you install an underwire?
The bottom of the underwire should match the underbust seam. Remove the underwires from the channeling and pin the channeling in place along your marked chalk lines. Stitch along each side of the channeling. Put the underwire back into the channel and secure the open ends of the channel with stitching.
What happens if I take the underwire out of my bra?
If you remove the underwire from the bra it will no longer continue to provide the same support as before. The underwire distributes support across the different sections of the bra. It affects not only the cups themselves but also the front and wings (sides/back) of the bra.

Can you iron on letters to a bathing suit?
Use scissors and an X-ACTO to cut out your letters. Peel off the plastic covering and place the vinyl letters onto the bathing suit. Cover the letters with a cloth and iron for about two minutes. The cloth could cause your letters to move around so we suggest ironing a few letters at a time.
How do you line a swimsuit?
Measure from side seam to side seam across the front of the swimsuit along the nipple line of the suit. Measure from the neckline of the suit down to the area on the suit you want the liner to hit. Add an inch to each of these measurements. String bikini tops can be traced directly on top of the liner fabric.
