Knowing your chest size can make life easier for a variety of reasons.
How to measure your chest size:
- Stand up straight, with your arms resting comfortably at your sides.
- Take a soft tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the widest part of your chest.
- The number in inches is your chest size.
Is 42 inch chest big?
In most brands of women’s clothing, a 42 inch chest or bust is equal to a size 16, which is classed as a size large. The specifics can certainly differ by brand and by garment type, but this is a fairly accurate general guideline.
