Can you return Marshalls items to any store? You can return your Marshalls or Marshalls.com purchase to any Marshalls store locations. It doesn’t have to be returned to the same Marshalls where it was purchased.

Do Marshalls or HomeGoods accept TJ Maxx returns? You cannot return your TJ Maxx items to Marshalls or HomeGoods. If the item was purchased at a TJ Maxx store or online it must be returned to a TJ Maxx store only.
How strict is Marshalls return policy?
You can return your online purchase to the store or by mail within 40 days of purchase date. You must provide the receipt or packing slip. If you choose to mail your return, Marshalls deducts $9.99 from the amount of your refund.

A valid government issued photo ID, name, address, and signature are required for non-receipted returns and may be required for use of the resulting merchandise credit. Any name printed on the merchandise credit must match the name on the photo ID presented or the merchandise credit may not be used.
Can I get a cash refund if I paid by debit card at Marshalls?
If you paid for your products using a debit or credit card, you might have to wait a few business days for the credit to show up on your account. Purchases you paid for with a check are eligible for a cash refund, but you will have to wait ten days for the company to process them.

The companies are owned by a parent company TJX in which Sierra’s trading post was included in 2012 and in 2020 was rebranded as Sierra. The companies do not accept returns from stores of another company. So it is not possible for you to exchange or return the goods from the Sierra trading post to the TJ Maxx store.
