IP68 ratings
IP68 ratings occupy the very top of the IP rating scale. Both digits are at their maximum level: A 6 for total protection against solid ingress. An 8 for total protection against water ingress, up to and including complete submersion below one meter and for more than 30 minutes.
Is 10K waterproof good?
A rating of up to 10K is enough to handle light to average rain for a short amount of time. Ratings between 10K and 15K can handle a moderate amount of rain for much longer, and jackets rated between 15K and 20K or higher are serious shells for heavy, intense rain over a prolonged period.

Can you swim with IP68 waterproof?
While a fitness band or smartwatch with an IP68 rating can be worn while jogging in the rain or doing the dishes, IP ratings do not take water pressure into account. Therefore, IP ratings are not indicative of a device’s ability to be used during aquatic activities such as swimming.
Can I shower with IP68 waterproof?
As mentioned already, the IP68 rating means it can survive being submerged. IP65 denotes that it’s also good at handling spray. Technically, it’s tested using water being projected by a 6.3mm nozzle. In real world use though, it just means it can survive the rain, or the shower.
