Can you wear PT gear with civilian clothes?
All other combinations authorized. PTU/IPTU items are authorized for wear with conservative civilian/personal attire during individual/personal PT or while off-duty (e.g. PT shirt with personal shorts/pants, PT jacket with personal shirt/pants/shorts, etc.).
(1) General. Personnel shall not wear military uniforms on liberty when off a U.S. military compound. Military uniforms, to include the Navy PT Uniform, will not be worn in public or in the public areas of hotels or commercial establishments unless on official business or specifically authorized by COMUSNAVCENT.
Can I wear PT uniform in public?
Military personnel in uniform are prohibited on any form of public transportation, including taxis. Wear of the physical fitness uniform to conduct off-installation training is prohibited. Uniform wear in public areas of hotels, such as breakfast or dining room, bar or fitness room, is prohibited.
Military personnel may wear military uniform articles with civilian clothing when the item cannot be identified as a navy uniform component.

Is PT gear considered uniform?
A new Physical Training Gear (PTG) uniform is coming to the Air Force. The service announced Tuesday that it has signed off on designs for a new PT jacket, T-shirt, shorts and pants that will start to become available in 2022. The gear will become the requirement by 2026.

Can you wear the army fleece jacket in civilians?

Can you wear OCP fleece out of uniform?
The Army also issued guidance on the green Army fleece jacket, stating on its official U.S. Army uniform website that the green Army fleece jacket is authorized for wear with the OCP as an outer garment. Again, if commanders authorize it.
Wearing the PTU
During command exercise in port, the PTU shirt must be tucked neatly in to the top of the shorts. During individual PT, or while the sailor is on liberty, shirts may be worn in or out of shorts. While a sea, the PTU is worn at the discretion of the commanding officer.

The Rockers were discontinued in 1975 when the Navy fully instituted the Officer style uniform for all members known as the Salt and Pepper uniform. In 1980, the Navy revived the jumper style uniform for Sailors E-6 and below. They did not, however immediately reinstitute the Rockers.
