What does a Hermes courier do? As a Hermes self-employed parcel delivery driver, you’ll start your day at your local Delivery Unit, where you’ll collect all your parcels for the day. While you’re there, you can catch up with the other local couriers, swap stories, exchange tips on faster routes and get to know people.
How do I ship via Hermes?

What happens if my Hermes parcel is late?
If we are unable to deliver your Parcel to the Address, we will make two further attempts to deliver it (the “Further Attempts”). If we’re still unable to deliver your Parcel, we will return it to the sender’s address provided by you with the Parcel.
What happens to my package if I’m not home?

If a shipment requires, either an indirect, direct or adult signature, and a delivery attempt is made, but no one is there to sign for the package, the driver will leave a door tag at the recipient’s door. If no signature is required, the shipment will be left at the recipient’s door.
Where does my package go if I not home?
If no one is available to accept your shipment at the delivery address, your driver will leave a door tag. Check the door tag to see if we delivered your package to a neighbouring address or for the tracking information and the date of the next delivery attempt.
What happens if Im not home for a delivery?
Depending on your shipping method, and the carrier delivering your parcel, your order will either be left in a safe and secure place at your delivery address, or a notification card will be left with details on how to retrieve your parcel.
