Persephone. Persephone and Hermes are old friends, having met as Hermes’ role as a messenger brought him to the Mortal Realm frequently. Like several other Gods, Hermes was unaware that Demeter had a daughter. After a long day of traveling, Hermes stunk so badly that Demeter and others found him repulsive.
