Lucky for you, our Essentials kilts are washable. Wash at 30° (it saves you money and energy) with a liquid product. Use a short spin on the synthetic cycle to reduce creasing. Be sure to tie your straps before putting your kilt in your washing machine to prevent any damage from the buckle.

How long does a kilt last?
Generally customers buy a kilt once, to last a life time. It is used for many different purposes so its important to take time on choosing the correct tartan and type of kilt as it will last a life time and can be passed on as a heirloom. We recommend an 8 yard kilt.
Do kilts shrink?
And remember . . . you needn’t worry that the kilt will shrink. It’s HEAT and/or AGITATION that shrinks wool. Since we’re talking of cold-water washing with a minimum of agitation, no change will take place.
