All bags, sacks and backpacks are subject to search before entry. The maximum bag size allowed inside the premises is 40x40x50cm and must not weight over 8kg. Baggage larger than that and wheeled cases are not allowed onto the Museum facilities regardless of dimensions.

Can you bring a backpack into a museum?
Bags larger than a standard backpack need to be checked into coat check. Any backpack sizes or smaller can be worn on one shoulder. Backpacks may not be worn on the back, but must be carried on the side, under the arm, or on the front of the body.

Do London museums have lockers?
Please note we are unable to allow over-sized luggage into the museum. We have lockers on-site which are big enough to take cabin sized luggage (24cm x 37cm x 43cm) and cost £1 to use. We really appreciate your co-operation, thank you.
