Not many people know that Gap and Old Navy are two retail stores owned by the same parent company—GAP Inc. However, those who know they are offspring of the same company have started the Old Navy vs Gap debate—seeking to see the difference. But, both Old Navy and The Gap are fashion staples for many shoppers.

The goal was to be more inclusive to shoppers of all sizes. So instead of segregating clothes into plus-size sections, they wanted to put them all together. And rather than offering sizes zero to 14 like most retailers, Old Navy decided to offer sizes zero to 30.
Note that the company switched up its sizing in August 2021, adopting a new size-inclusive system. All Old Navy women’s styles now come in sizes 0 to 30 or XS-4X with no price difference or separate plus-size collections.
