What is Demetra material?

Demetra is made from animal-free raw materials that are primarily from sustainable, renewable and bio-based sources: 77% are based on plant resources, a blend of viscose and wood pulp sourced from forests that are sustainably managed. Furthermore, bio-based polyurethane also flows into it.

What is Demetra Leather?

According to the fashion house, it spent two years researching the animal-free material, Demetra (named after the Greek goddess of harvest Demeter) – a faux leather made from 77 % plant-based raw materials, including wood pulp and viscose sourced from sustainably managed forests.
