Where are M&S clothes made?
We source our clothing and home products from factories in our key sourcing countries including: Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Turkey and Sri Lanka. In 2016, we published an interactive map which shows where our M&S clothing, homeware and beauty products are made.
Does H&M manufacture in China?
We do business with over 602 commercial product suppliers who manufacture products for our brands in over 1519 tier one factories in Europe, Asia and Africa. China and Bangladesh are the largest production markets for clothing. The European Union is the largest production market for our beauty assortment.
Does H&M manufacture in India?

Amid accusations that it was profiting from modern-day slavery, the Swedish multinational promised last year to stop buying cotton from Xinjiang. But it now faces a backlash from Chinese consumers who threatened their own boycott of H&M products.

How ethical is next?
Little of its supply chain is certified by labour standards which ensure worker health and safety, living wages or other labour rights. It received a score of 31-40% in the 2021 Fashion Transparency Index. There is no evidence it implements practices to support diversity and inclusion in its supply chain.
Why are Primarks clothes so cheap?
