The colors turned out really well and very bright. We soaked ours overnight so longer than the minimum 8 hours recommended. Just a side note for anyone who may get the dye on their hands or tub/sink, use magic eraser, definitely helped get the stains out of my hands, tub and sink. We will use this kit again!

We generally recommend washing your fabric and leaving it damp before tie-dyeing, as the dye has an easier time saturating the fabric when it’s wet. But depending on the technique and the look you want, you can apply dye to dry fabric. Just make sure the fabric has been washed (if it’s new) to remove the sizing.

With the rubber bands still on, rinse your tie-dye shirt in cold water. It’s a good idea to rinse your tie-dye shirt alone. Do not rinse your shirt with other clothing because the loose and excess dye will stain the other clothes.
