The pilling comb, also called a cashmere comb, should only be used when you want to give your old cashmere jumper a new shine. Removing pilling requires gentle handling of the cashmere textile. Carefully go over your cashmere piece a few times with the pilling comb and simply comb the protruding lint out of the fabric.

Spread the sweater out on a flat surface. Hold the knitted area smooth and taut with one hand. Gently run the razor across the surface of the sweater. Take more care around the seams, edges, and buttonholes — you don’t want to cut the yarn.
Do fabric shavers ruin clothes?
No, when used correctly, shavers do not damage clothes. Remember, lint and pilling happens when friction has caused fibers to loosen and knot. Since you do not want those fibers pulling any further, it is good to remove them with the fabric shaver.
